Hood for 1966 Stang..............

I am looking for a Vintage Hood for the 1966 Stang..........I heard of a Mustang salvage yard in New Jersey...???

But unable to locate it.....

Please let me know if you guys see any ads in local papers,see something, etc. regarding parting out a car....

Willing to drive to PA or South/North Jersey to pick-up.

Current hood is bent and previous owner botched the attempted repair.......

I believe a 1965 hood should fit.............can anyone verify that or know.......

You can get a repro for $150 + Shipping

There are two types of repro hood......the $150.00 repro or the $450.00 ford stamped repro.

I heard the Ford stamped sheet metal is a better fit and the steel thickness matches the originals where as the cheaper repros do not.......

I would really like to get an original hood and re-prime the whole front end........

I am hoping to get a real original hood in good shape for a price somewhere between the the two repro costs......

I'll keep my eyes peeled Andy....you might want to hit up craigs list too in the tri-state area if you're willing to travel like you said. There's gotta be people parting out 65 and 66's, being their pretty common.

I would contact seller to get exact description of condition. He's got 2 of them....the other one has a few dents....this one looks ok from the pic but you have to inquire.

Gotta get google happy and and start calling and contacting. These may still be available.....

5 days have past and this guy hasn't budged. I'm going home.

It's not in Jersey, but very close. Only 20 miles from Trenton in Harrisburg Pa.. CJ Pony Parts ([Only admins are allowed to see this link] click on "salvage yard" tab.

Ok.........guys......picked up the hood last night in Northern Jersey.....

No dents or major rust......only some surface rust........

Primed over original paint.....

Hood was $100.00 , $15.00 for gas , $4.00 for coffee..........good deal.....

Trunk fit inside my Pacifica......

Anybody know a body shop that can sand and red prime Hood on Staten Island or possibly N.J.........

Spray city and tell jerry jr that joboo with the black mustang sent you. I sent other TSS guys over there and all are happy with his work.
